Island - Conceiving Ecotopia (mixed media installation, 2025)

Island brought together a collection of live plants, dried plant specimens, soil, and stones from Gumchi Baagh, Islamabad. This work signifies the co-existence of indigenous and cultivated plant species while forming a dialogue between the ideas of uniformity and diversity, materiality and temporality, natural and human intervention.

Life Kit – Portable Essentials (collection of organic materials, glass bottles, canvas diptych, 2025)

Life Kit uses a crucial set of essentials as a carrier of visual and textual information. The kit includes lists of remedies as embroidery work on a wearable garment, and natural materials collected, processed, and preserved for future. This work focuses on a selection of South Asian plant species which have significant qualities for providing a sense of well-being, self-sufficiency, sustenance, security and companionship.

Anonymous Travelogue emphasizes the poetic connection between encountered and imagined experiences during the travels of a Time Capsule, highlighting poetic interactions with certain wild and cultivated plant species and their surrounding environments at Gumchi Bagh, Islamabad.

Inspired by a recurring form found in nature, Time Capsules serve as compact vessels to collect, contain, and disseminate seeds and other organic materials through continuous movement.

These processes are often apparent in various aspects of our life. This work alludes to the repetition and limitation of such practices while shaping the mind to a rigid state.
